In July I made an abortive attempt to hike the 16 miles from the ranch at the head waters, down the Virgin river to the Sinuwava Temple. We decided that the constrictions last time made it impossible (and I confirmed on this hike that we were right - starting after noon and going to campsite #8 would have been a disaster for our group), so we hiked up from the bottom to just short of Orderville canyon. Easily for Mike and with only mild problems for me (caused by having poor equipment).
